Because of the relatively inefficient production method this change would significantly increase cost. Hammer forging, which Remington already does, is capable of producing a fine barrel. Remington simply needs to improve the quality of what they're already doing.

True the action/bolt so both lugs bear on the action.
Control the headspace. I would much rather see close to zero than close to max like these days happens too often.
Bead blasted bolts are too rough, and don't blast the face of the bolt.
