That's the first good report I've heard on Marlins in quite a while. Any details? Jerry

1. Add the 6.5 Creedmoor to the 7 and 700 line in all styles. No reason for the CM if they would just do a 3" mag box.....

My 5 changes would be:
1. Add the 6.5 Creedmoor to the 7 and 700 line in all styles. 2. Offer a 1-8" ROT barrel option for all of the .224" and .243" bore cartridges. 3. Reintroduce the 541 and 580/581/582 series of rimfire rifles in .22LR, .22Mag, and 17HMR. 4. Reintroduce the 700 Ti in both long and short actions. 5. Reintroduce the 700 LVSF. only one change, Offer every product they make in Left Hand

First. Get rid of those [bleep] little scan code square hickies on the side of the actions.
Clean house starting at the top. Anyone responsible for decision making the last 15 years is gone. Especially the idiot that blended the nose of the comb into the top of the grip on the wood stocks. What a ridiculous 2X4 looking piece of chit.
Bring back the Ti. As originally configured.
Bring back the classic. As originally configured.
Lapped, cut rifled barrels on centerfire rifles. Because of the relatively inefficient production method this change would significantly increase cost. Hammer forging, which Remington already does, is capable of producing a fine barrel. Remington simply needs to improve the quality of what they're already doing.

Hire real machinists to chamber/crown your barrels and true up the receivers before assembly. All the money you saved trying to make a cheaper product has come back to bite them square in the azz because their flagship rifle shoots like a POS. Tune up the CNC production process and machine them true from the get go.

Short barrels, fast twists, threaded barrels on everything, decent stocks....Pretty much just tweaking what they are doing.
I could care less about the dot matrix bar codes, walnut and blue steel, etc..
They have enough trouble threading the good end of the barrel. If they thread the muzzle of them all, they'll never sell me another one.

Fire the board of directors 8. Fire the director of new product development 9. use reamers that have pilots on the front 10. add options for detachable box magazines for all 700 actions 11. Add a flock of new calibers to the line, let distributors place orders for their wants with a 100 gun minimum 12. Re start the component production and add new machinery to keep up with demand 13. Fire the manager of the custom shop and all his cronies 14. Hire and train gun people that are in quality control 15. reintroduce old models that were very popular 16. Hire Trumps son as CEO

True the action/bolt so both lugs bear on the action. Control the headspace. I would much rather see close to zero than close to max like these days happens too often. Bead blasted bolts are too rough, and don't blast the face of the bolt.
