This is a three panel with no pin stripe outline, $189.99 from Brownells and that's just the part, welding would be extra.

Edited to add, Ed's offer of a 2 panel McFarland for $100 is a great deal.

Matt (haverluk) knows his guns and I'm sure he'll end up with something very special.

I like this handle, too. It doesn't even come close to bumping my finger and I really like that.

I've had a M-700 and a MkV cause me some grief. One's a 26 Nosler, the other a 7RM, not big boomers per se.

So, I "fixed" that problem. The part that bumped my finger got whacked...

Problem went away and from the side, the bolt knob looks the same. You gotta get close to see the back side is missing.

Normal looking bolt knob, side view, even after "surgery".

[Linked Image]

Another view of the FN showing how the bolt knob is quite a bit forward, out of finger bumping range, compared to the M700.

And, compared to the Len Brownell Champlin and Haskins, where the bolt handle is well out of the way.

And the AHR custom CZ with a straight, Oberndorf type handle, which may be what Matt is wanting.

The M-700 is the only one of the four that presented a problem and that problem was surgically corrected... laugh
