H4350 is pretty dang good. For the heavier for caliber loads, H4831 and 7977 really start to shine.
Gotta love those extreme powders… they always end up being my goto's.

If I had one, the first one I'd be looking to try out is the new RL 26...I am sure a stiff charge of that, with a heavy for caliber bullet would do amazing things...

I use RL22 in mine with a 110 Accubond. Got a light load that mimics a 257Roberts and a full house load. Both easily sub-MOA and the light load prints 1/2 inch lower at 100yds so I can use either load with no scope adjustment.
I use IMR4831 in my 25-06AI with 115 NBTs for amazing accuracy and speed.
Those who must raise their voice to get their point across are generally not intelligent enough to do so in any other way.

I use H-4831sc in mine with Nosler AB. It does not get much better.

I4350 has been mentioned.. I used it quite a bit in the early years.. Very accurate, and only a tad slower than I4831!! Wyo- Might want to edit your post. https://www.hodgdon.com/PDF/Burn%20Rates%20-%202015-2016.pdfIt just happened to catch my eye. I have settled on H4831SC over the years experimenting with the .25-06 with all bullet weights/styles I've tried. Temperature extremes is a consideration for the .25-06 in my case. A good all-season powder for various critters.

H4831sc, IMR4350 are the two powders I've used most. I think that H4350, Re26, and IMR4551 may be very good powders.
I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

All,
Thanks for chiming in. Obviously with the response there are many choice to see which works best and give the best accuracy. I will probably try the IMR4350 and R22 first since I have a 8lb jug of IMR4350 and 2 one-pound of R22 and these are hardly used.
I got back from a funeral in NJ for my father in law and on the way I stopped at Cabelas to get the NBT 115gr 25-cal bullets so this is another option.
I am trying to clean this M700 25-06 barrel out and man it is hard to get it to move the cleaning rod through the barrel. It is supposed to be a 25 cal barrel but no marking on the barrel indicates this however the person I bought the rifle from also sent me some Sierra 25 cal bullets. My thinking is I need to get this barrel cleaned first.

I was disappointed in IMR 4831 in my .25-06, but a good place to start is Ken Waters' Pet Loads articles on the 25-06.

I have worked mostly with 110-115 grain bullets in two different rifles and had good luck with H-4831, IMR 7828 and lately, Retumbo.

Wife shoots a 25 06, She be a good shot with hers. It's is one of the old Remington 700's with the heavy barrel. I think the weight helps with recoil.

When I loaded for a 25-06, I was surprised at how well Retumbo worked, it's all I used.
