Naming sins is an idiotic way to evangelize. Everyone needs Christ.
A much better way is to lift up Christ as the redeemer for all the world.
The sign wearer is from a sect that would like to think of themselves as righteous because they have tried to abandon everything on the list.The problem is that they are considering themselves as righteous because of what they are able to accomplish, rather than as righteous because of what Christ has accomplished. Their list will never be long enough or comprehensive enough for them to earn Heaven by abstaining from the list. I thought all sects thought they were going to be the exclusive inhabitants of the afterlife ? Dont get me wrong, I believe in God and His son Jesus, but once an organization gets behind them .. Just to clarify, it's not just believing that saves you,as in believing they exist. It's relying on and trusting in Jesus that saves. As long as that's what you are saying ,you will be fine without group affiliation. Even so I think you just haven't found the correct group. I would suggest a non traditional non denominational group. There is great benefit from joining with like minded Christians that want to lift and support each other ,rather than tearing down and talking about each other.

Some churches consider all alcohol to be sinful but that's not scriptural. I once had a minister try to tell me that the Greek word for wine also included grape juice and raisins. At the last supper, grape juice would have been impossible because it wouldn't have kept since the harvest so he was saying that Jesus made his covenant with us by drinking raisins. I think not.

Was referring to the wedding feast, where Mary asked him to handle the bar-tending after the first of the wine was already consumed.
Granted we need to consider everyone's tolerance, the alcohol content, and hopefully everyone's temperance, but surely, it must have been a festive occasion, and I can only surmise that libations were well into the issue when Jesus provided more.

Fail to see the problem. The guy is biblically accurate and spot on as far as Christianity is concerned....  It's just most 'modern' Xtians are coming to terms with how schitty their message is and are trying to sweeten it up, but it all comes back to: you're on that list and need savin'!
