Honestly, I think Wilson is saying what he has to say in order to keep his knees, his job, and avoid being blackballed or professionally lynched.
At this point, especially with black athletes, they have to know this sort of questioning is coming and they have to CYA.
Do I agree with what he said? HELL NO! Can I see why he might say it even if he didn't believe it? Yep.
Like Brady or Manning or any other; they exist to entertain by playing a game. Beyond that, he stays out trouble, leads a clean life, and largely does not do stupid schit. All the rest is irrelevant. His views on politics are his own, and he should not even be asked those questions by a "sports writer" as it has nothing to do with sports.
America needs to understand that our troops are not 'disposable'. Each represents a family; Fathers, Mothers, Sons, Daughters, Cousins, Uncles, Aunts... Our Citizens are our most valuable treasure; we waste far too many.

Based on his public stance against pre-marital sex, I thought he might be a conservative. He may be, but he also is not stupid. He needs to survive, literally, in the black dominated NFL and via Disney-owned ESPN. Anyone seen Riley Cooper lately?

While his religious beliefs and his views on marriage etc are mostly conservative. He has always been open about liking Obama.

No, but I didn't expect him to say some of the things he did. Saying he doesn't expect the president to be in office for four years does not show any great intelligence as far as I am concerned. Asking Obama to come back was the last straw. Although I don't care for the Seahawks, even a little, I always had a soft spot for him because he played for the Wisconsin Badgers in college. No more, as far as I am concerned he just brought himself down to Colin Kaepernick's level.

But when we give her the Conservative or not quiz she fell clearly on the Right. Not sure how she justifies her vote or support. i smartly stopped short of that part.
