This is a custom made stock/forearm & barrel to transform your 1874 sharps into a Gemmer Sharps. All work was done by renowned muzzle-loader craftsman J.F. Bergmann who's signature is on the top flat of the barrel. Originally chambered for 45-70 then later punched out to 45-110. Package will include Lyman dies, 47 pieces of Norma brass, and proper rcbs shell holder. The stock set is traditional to the Hawkins format; crescent butt-plate, low rise comb with classical cheek piece, captured keys to prevent loss, pewter cap, ram-rod to serve as a wiping rod. This package came off an 1874 Shiloh sharps action. So this will thread on to original sharps, c sharps, Taylor's, and pedersoli sharps actions. Barrel is 30 inches and has a right-hand 1:18 twist. Bore is bright and shiny and the chamber is tight and true. Barrel sights are the traditional blade front with semi-buckhorn rear, both in 3/8" dovetails. Wiping rod is threaded to accommodate brushes/jags/mops ect. It's all finished in a brown rust stain to replicate the aged brown patina of vintage metal. $700 and that includes everything shipped and insured to your door.
