What is the tube length on the Leupold 4x33? Thinking about picking up a gloss 4x and was wondering if it was more flexable than trying to mount a K4...

I just measured one of mine and got 5.25" tube length you can safely use, the rear bell and lock ring 2.25", and the eye relief is around 4".

The mounting tube length is close to an inch longer than a new K4.

Here's some 4x scopes to compare. Leupold M8 on top, Weaver Classic and Leupold FXII on the bottom. FWIW .... The FXII will nicely fit on a 700 long action in Talley Ex-Lows. The Weaver Classic is better on a short action, but a very nice scope regardless.
