Pinned and recessed is nice if it is otherwise good. Lots of pinned and recessed guns are from the '70s when both S&W and Colt had quality issues, timing and such.

That is a sweet revolver! P&R is over rated and good for the collectors. I have a feeling that gun is meant to shoot the hell out of.
As an aside, I would not touch a P&R Model 25 in .45 Colt unless you want a cylinder full of oversized throats. Yeah, no big deal if you hand load with cast.
