Seems we can relate that to this election. Trump the lion, slaughtered the cow buffalo formerly known as "The Smartest Woman in the World". Since then, the vultures and hyenas have been circling, not on the carcass of the bloated cow, but as is Africa, harassing the lion and trying to steal what is his. Meanwhile, while the monkeys chatter from the trees, the rest of the herd bellows from a safe distance. Other pride members who did not participate in the kill now want their share.
Sounds pretty similar to the current situation. Trump has to chase off not only the vultures and hyenas, but weak and immature lions of his own pride as he takes ownership of his kill. Hopefully, he will eat up a satisfying share of what is this mess in Washington before leaving the scrapes for the scanvengers to fight over.

Yes, he made it without the support of the party favorites, so has an uphill battle on every issue. The Repubs would vote as a block when their minority was meaningless. Now they have the club in their hands and they're afraid to take on the responsibility of using it. Those few that hold out as swing votes do so just to garner favors. What's in it for me if I come around on an issue?
All just Washington as usual.

Yep I'm amused by the number of folks that are clueless to how one natural or man made disaster could send us into barbarian mode
Then it's not gonna matter if you call it a clip or a magazine as long as you have plenty of full ones

With Nunes breaking the news that Trump and his team were indeed "under surveillance" during the transition, I suppose we can say the lion just roared and chased some of the pendejos off for the moment.
