Still wish I would have bought one exactly like yours when they were being closed out for about $500. Did buy a 375 Ruger and a 300Win in stainless/laminate and both are great rifles in my book. Also bought a 300 RCM in wood/blue that I really like, other than being worse than a wildcat cartridge for getting brass.
Thanks for the pic,
Steve

Cool flintlock, someone spent a lot of time building that one.

I have a left handed Thompson Center Renegade percussion rifle that I built from a kit. That's the very limit of my gun making ability.

Yes they do take some time.
On the high end, the fanciest American Longrifles I make usually take me about 500-550hours each.
But when they are done the customer has something that is not "usual".

Alright, we got flintlocks, bolt actions, and 1 ar rifle in a picture surrounded by a bunch of bolt actions. Here's my only left handed porn star:

My 9.3x62. I like it a lot but built it at a time when Ruger wasn't selling the lefty 375 Rugers for $599. Today it would be a no brainer to go Ruger.

That is a Mcmillan Hunter. Its real handy, but needs a touch more drop to allow the irons to get used faster. Probably hard to beat a classic still.

My newest addition. Ryan at Diablo customs did the machine work. 7mm-08
New Remington 700 SS action, squared and lugs lapped, Bartlein 2B, fluted and cut to 21" Timney calvin elite set to 2lbs, Mcmillan compact stock. ADL bottom metal. I'll be switching the scope to a SS 6X after I get the load work completed.

I hope this worked.

PS there must be a way to post pictures without the need to click on a link. Right? How so?
PSS I see that my captions don't show with the photos.

The URL's are correct but need to have at the end of each. You can type that in manually or in the full editor click on the "Insert Image Link" icon 9th from the left with the little picture on it and then paste the URL there.

Nice rifles, btw. wink Is that last one a LH Springfield conversion or ???

Also you can only put 6 in any one post. Cut and paste this line into another post and it should show up okay.

Jim,
Thanks that makes perfect sense. I guess I thought that since we were kind of "in house" it didn't occur to me to do the [img] thing.

The Sedgley Springfield is a conversion, but he (R.F. Sedgely) apparently did a lot of them. How many? Beats me, but enough that they were in his catalogs for several years in the 20's and 30's.
It came to me via a late cousin and unfortunately I didn't ask enough questions while he was still alive. Of course at the time I didn't know it would come my way once he passed. I am really enjoying it. It is very accurate and I am getting to the point where I can hit a 3" bullseye at 100 yards with regularity. The iron sights are a bit of a challenge for someone used to a scope, or much closer targets.
Just handling the old classic makes you feel like you are stepping back in time. Into the time of all those early 20th century hunters and authors.

[Linked Image]

Thanks,
Lou M

I was going to edit my old post to update the photos but apparently that's not possible. I don't have an "Edit" button on the old posts.
