Was fortunate enough to encounter a bunch of of the old paper box, 40 gr Power points in the late 90's. Purchased a bunch at $15.99/brick. Typically shoot about 5K/yr of 22 LR a year at our MT ground squirrels. Got down to the last few bricks last year.
Encountered the Browning 1435 ft/s HP ammo last year along with plastic box WW 1280 ft/s Power points. Stocked up on both. Have shot several K rounds of the Browning stuff from Anschutz 54/1700 action rifle as well as a few others bolt guns.. Have not shot much on paper. Too man ground squirrels keeping me busy. The BPR extends functional range 25-50 yards over the older PP ammo in my rifles. From my perspective, there is not functional accuracy degradation with.
In my experience any trade-off in accuracy is overcome by the flatter trajectory; and they do smack hard.
Know a few other guys that have had some issues with the BPR 1435 ft/sec stuff. Some blown cases and marginal accuracy
At this point, have run about 8K if BPR through my bolt guns. Have had one (1) FTF. A few solid hits with what appeared to be failure to expand. Other than that, works great for me. YMMV.
