Gotcha! Nope, after a 20 mile ride in a garbage bag, they were still dead when I dumped them in the woods for critter food. As a boy, I "caught" and carried a big possum several miles out of the woods by his tail. Every so often he would open his eyes and look around, then start squirming to try to reach and bite me. When that happened, I'd call the dog - which was why he was playing dead to begin with - and he'd remember he was supposed to be dead!

I generally use my Marauder .25 cal for possums and coons around here. Pretty much takes the place of a .22 around the house here.

The built-in suppressor makes it VERY quiet. Like James Bond silencer quiet... laugh

That should certainly do the job! My .177 does, also. The two possums yesterday were on the large side, hit the female between the eyes and she dropped eead instantly. Had to shoot through banana leaves for the male, couldn't tell which end was which at first, so shot him 3 or 4 times. One hit a shoulder, appeared to have gone right though. On coons, I don't really care if it kills them or just knocks them out of the tree for the dogs to finish. The dogs - two 90 lb Catahoulas - really like coons!
