A whole lot of this crap is a product of being raised while never being told no. Everyone is equal, with a right to feel anything they want, ect. The police are an authority figure based on the position that they serve. DO NOT argue with law enforcement while refusing to follow commands ect. If you do you should expect to be taken down. Similar to waving a knife or firearm around in front of police with guns drawn and then being outraged when you get shot. Respect the position of law enforcement and then wait for your day in court if you disagree. You do not and can not refuse to listen and expect no consequence. I tend to agree. Problem is that so many LEOs seem to get their switched flipped on and struggle to deal with regular citizens respectfully. I had an experience last month. My son and I were at a coaching demo. He and I were talking about what the guy doing the demo had shown us. We were going through what he had demonstrated. Cop comes up from behind, taps me and says I can't be doing what I'm doing. I look up and explain sheepishly, others were out on that mat. He blew on me. Yelled at me to not go there, "everyone else is doing it...". I got just a little pissed at the unwarranted treatment. Here we are at a family event. A guy and his 11 year old along with untold numbers of coaches, youth etc. and this prick decides to act like he's dealing with a bunch of drunks on a college strip that need to be controlled instantly before things get out of hand. The only thing that kept me from pushing the issue was that my son was obviously uncomfortable with the situation. Pure and simple, the cop was an absolute prick, unnecessarily. I had ceased what he said was unacceptable. He was/is a powderkeg ready to blow. And trust me, the St Louis police department and this guy's fellow officers are the ones who will ultimately have to pay a price for a guy like this being on the street in uniform. Agreed. I've had generally positive encounters with police other than one prick that comes to mind. I think body cams are a good thing but I do give law enforcement the benefit of the doubt. Dealing with in your face people that think that it's there right to argue rather than listen has to be extremely frustrating.

Wasn't there. Was that a take down or punishment? Looked like at least 100 lbs of serious threat there. and yes, we know nothing other than a few seconds of video. Was she armed? Was she kicking, scratching, biting?

He's probably just been waiting for someone small enough to try that on ever since his "training". Cowardly son of a bitch anyway you slice it. I suppose that in a shoot situation you believe that police should aim for the leg rather than center mass to? She didn't follow a police orders to get out of his face, ignored several warnings and when needed to be taken down and detained the officer did so as efficiently and quickly as possible. So you seriously believe that the only way those young strapping lads could physically restrain her little twinkie azz was to body slam her face first into the cobblestone pavement?

Lot's of folks in jail for manslaughter for throwing someone to the ground only to have them hit their head and die...wasn't intended but a death non the less.
It's a skinny mouthy women for criss sakes. If your manhood is threatened by such you got no business wearing a badge with that lack of judgement and or self control.

I suppose you think wearing blue allows you to do to others as you, the "MAN" thinks fit. I suppose you think he should be able to shoot her because she has nails and may have rabies. Hows that for supposition, mittenMAN? I also suppose he figured with that miniskirt on he could nock her out and then climb on and at least get a free feel and sniff outta the deal.

Dealing with in your face people that think that it's there right to argue rather than listen has to be extremely frustrating. I'm with you. I have had a fair number of encounters over the years with various LEOs. Almost all of them positive (with regard to interaction, treatment, respect etc.). But I see an increasing tendency for LEOs that cannot discern the difference between a benign situation and one that might/does require over-the-top aggression to control something. Many of these guys walk around "locked and loaded" mentally and it takes next to nothing to trigger them. As I said, they really end up hurting their fellow officers and departments more than anything. I assure you, for quite a while, I had a pretty dim view of the St. Louis PD.

That LEO keeps slamming unarmed little girls into the sidewalk like that and he's gonna cost FT. Collins a lot of money, and may already have.
Wrist locks and controlling arm bars are not difficult to perform to gain control over skinny little drunk girls, without smashing them into the ground.

A large percentage of little people treated like that and we will be footing the bill for vegetable care. Sad to see some in blue really could care less.

Notice a lot of the patrons cheered when she went down. IIRC I read she is 5'4, 115# If she had come up shooting and nailed his ass, I'd give her a medal. Would that medal come from your AA collection? Loudmouth drunks all think they are tough guys and universally hate cops. How many times have you pissed/shat yourself in the back seat of a cop car? mike r

What I find far more disturbing than the very small number of LEOs that pull this BS, is the much larger percent that defend it.

Does that mean you're back living on this side of the hill?

So when, exactly, did it become acceptable for a big virulent man to body slam an unarmed little twinkie girl just because she was mouthy?
