I've loaded up some 140 AccuBonds with RL-26. I've loaded up to 51 grains in my T3, and was clocking 2825-2830 fps out of new Lapua brass. Those speeds are about 75 fps faster than my best shooting H4831 load, and they aren't quite as accurate, so I decided to stay with my tried and true H4831 load.

What speeds are you getting with that 7828? My accuracy load as stated above is 50g of H4831, but its slower at 2760. Curious what 7828 might do. The RL-26 is certainly quite a bit faster, but the accuracy has only been so-so.

Started out with IMR4350 and got this 4 shot group @ 100 yards. Figured I'd just stick with it. Getting 2800 fps on this load. 45.5 gr.

That 140 AB sounds like the ticket for the 6.5X55, at least in the "heavier" weights.

The 6.5 140 Sierra Gameking is the best game bullet I have ever used. Consistently amazing performance. Always an exit even on large hogs and always a very quick drop (WT, axis and hogs)for ME. I am not using "always" as hyperbole -just my experience with them. The 120 Prohunter is the most accurate of any. I have used Nosler and Hornady of various weights and designs but won't be testing anything further.

my Cooper in 260 shoots anything 120-130 grains well, especially 120 Prohunters, but I recently switched to Swift A-frames in 120 grain. still well under 1" at 100 yds but I anticipate better penetration on big midwest whitetails when the shot is not broadside.

Figure I just need to stay with the H4831 load because it works great. Would love to get to 2850, but really, what's another 100fps in the bigger picture?

My two Swedes (CZ550FS & T3 Lite SS) like 120g NBT's, 129g Hornady SP's and SST's.

beretzs, Be curious to see how things go for you. I need a good load for a 140AB in my Swede also.

My Swede likes 120 grain Ballistic Tips and 140 grain Gamekings. It's favorite bullet is the 120 grain Sierra Pro Hunter. Clearly the most accurate bullet for that rifle so far. That's amazing. Is it a fluke or Tikka consistency? I have gotten my best consistency and accuracy from 120 NBT and 140 Game Kings. Both powered by IMR4350. I'll have to try some Pro Hunters.

Anyone ever had a bullet that didn't perform well in 6.5 mm?
If I had to vote for one, it would be the 95 V Max...
for deer, 100 grainers and up...
for larger stuff.. 125 grainers and up...
140s will do anything a 200 grainer in a 30 cal will do.. especially when ya choose Partitions or Barnes bullets..
