Wet camomile tea bags fix pink-eye.
Papaya enzyme fixes bee and wasp stings if you get it on in the first 3-5 minutes. Crush the tablet, add water, apply to the sting. Also works on scorpion stings.

Not what these products were "designed" for: Skunk Smell Remover Recipe 1 quart hydrogen peroxide 1/4 cup baking soda 1 tsp. dish detergent Sponge on and let dry. Safe for use on cats and dogs. If you need to double or triple this recipe you can easily do it. Do not use on clothes. Geno PS, you have dogs? You have skunks in the neighborhood? I'd suggest having these handy then.

I'll start the product is CRC fogging oil. It's made for fogging outboard engines for winter storage but it's the best penetrating oil I've found for froze up tools and it leaves a good film of corrosion resistant oil to protect. I even spray my studs on my jet boat trailer wheels that goes in saltwater daily.
The much-maligned WD40 is an excellent cutting fluid when machining aluminum. Obenhauf's boot leather dressing is incredible for sizing .308 to .358 in one pass. Gasoline (not lit) kills ground hornet nests like you wouldn't believe. Do it on a cool night about midnight, bring a scrap of rag, pour a small (1 oz. or so) amount of gas into the mouth of the nest, which you identified earlier in the day by running over it with the lawnmower or whatever.... haha.... put the rag over the hole to hold the fumes in, and be prepared to feel the fury of a dying nest through the soles of your feet! The ground vibrates like electricity for a few seconds. Badass.

Twice that I can recall.
worked better than anything we tried previously. Skunk smell more than 90% diminished I'd say.
Have not tried the skunk off stuff.
tried to find their ingredients, even the msds I found just says isopropyl alcohol.
I'll look into that one some more.

If you have ever had the paper filters for drip coffee makers fall down when you're brewing coffee and wind up with pot of coffee full of grounds and/or hot coffee overflowing all over the counter top you know what I'm talking about.
This is what put a stop to it for me -- a cheap plastic and mesh reusable coffee filter ($2.00 +/-).
They aren't worth a dang as filters used alone but placed inside the one time use paper filters they keep the sides of the paper filter from falling/folding over while brewing and making a big mess and ruining a pot of coffee.

amsoil power foam made to remove carbon and clean engines is a great muzzleloader bore cleaner.wd40 will make plastic on your atv look new again. i've used it to wipe down a few enclosed trailers that had faded.

My dad always made sure we each had a G.I. can opener in our hunting kits. Tons of unthought of uses.
He also told me hand grenades worked great for fishing some of the best trout streams in France, and captured German machine guns were great for mowing down Axis communication line poles-just make sure they were German lines, not Allied-oops! The M.P.'s are probably still looking for him.
He also told me that a Garand makes a really good boat paddle in a pinch.

Deep Woods Off is supposed to be a pretty good headlight restorer. It sure ain't good on gunstocks! Was dove hunting and getting eaten alive by mosquitos. Took a can out of my pickup and applied liberally. went back to hunting with my minty Belgium Browning A-5. Soon my hands started feeling sticky... from the finish being removed by the Deep Woods off.  Sprinted back to the truck and sprayed it and my hands down with WD40 to neutralize the Off. It worked, but not before I had fingerprints all over that unmarred stock. I fixed it though with some liquid buffing wax. Got my attention though. Off and nice wood stocks don't mix. Mosquitoes be damned.

DEET is a wonderful solvent, I've had it eat through plastic "baggies" in my backpack before in trying to keep the crap off my clothes etc. I seem to remember it melted a tackle box tray once also. Since wd 40 is getting mentioned a lot it is great for getting dried scum off of aluminum pontoons
