That reminds me,
Two old open ended wrenches across the outside of the hub, put a couple of large washers and the castle nut on the end of the half shaft, tighten the nut and washers against the wrenches, and pull the shaft into the wheel bearings.
All done on a Subaru, numerous times......... who needs a press.

Spinner bait blades wedged in between the prop hub and the prop itself. Saved my but, and was able to motor back to the launch. Spun the hub waaaay back in the marsh. 9.9 HP Evinrude.

Clyde If you're wondering, the trigger group pin on a Rem 870 can serve as the shear pin (but not likely to shear!) on an old 9.9 Evinrude too. Sure taught me to have more than one extra when back in the swamp ! Allen

We have a "white board" that is supposed to be erasable at deer camp. It quit being erasable after many years of use. A quick spray of insect repellent (DEET) cleaned the board like new. I pulled up to a locked gate at a farm I used to lease. The lock always gave me trouble and finally I could not get it unlocked. Did not have any oil with me but did have bug spray (DEET). Lubed the lock and was able to open it with no effort. Higher the % of DEET the more oily it is.

For Mom it was a long handled wooden spoon or wet dish towel as an "adjuster" and "equalizer". When you are 5 foot nothin and weigh a hundred and nothin and have 4 sons that need an adjustment.
