Gorgeous is not the first word that comes to my mind.
Interesting, perhaps,

I thought the same when the stainless & gray laminate guns came out, WTH are they thinking. Now they are collectible. I guess if your state rules were favorable, you wanted a very compact weather resistant rifle, it could be a good deal for someone. Maybe they already have a .450 AR, and don't need new dies & components.

The stainless/laminated aspect doesn't bother me, it's that fu^cking muzzlebrake and no sights that turns my stomach.

I think if the ROCS Displayers would have an award for the Ugliest Ruger of all time one of these should win top honors.
Its an absolute disgrace to the beautiful rifle designed by William B Ruger, he is probably rolling in his grave after looking down on this bastardization.

What a shame. What are the folks at Ruger thinking? It's bad enough that they put wood on the current No. 1's that have less figure than a Home Depot 2x4 but this takes ugly to a new level. It's FUGLY.

Does that stock really have a brand on it that says "use no hooks"? Labman--you are right. I have seen prettier wood in the pallet pile. The other thing that turns me off is .450 Bushmaster. Crap, It just uses pistol bullets.
Presidents 100-'97 Distinguished Rifleman-'81 NRA Benefactor Artillery lends dignity to what would otherwise be a vulgar brawl.

Heck, I like it. I don't have any need for a muzzle brake, but otherwise I think it's pretty sweet.

I wonder how they are threaded. One could machine a barrel extension and at least have the correct length and no silly brake
