I shot a CZ 455 with the .22 Magnum barrel installed. Overall, it shot like crap. Not happy with it, at all. If I could find someone I was mad at, I'd sell it to 'em, and make them mad at me.

However, I also shot a triple of .22LRs, a CZ 452, an RAR Predator, and another CZ 455, the Scout version.

Danged if the Scout didn't win the prize for today's shooting. I am really liking this little thing, it's 34.75" inches long, and it shoots wonderfully well. I think it'll live in the truck, it's a shootin' little sonuvagun. I have better glass to put on it, eventually.

The 452 is still my favorite, but it's looking over it's shoulder at that Scout.

Ruger MKIV 22lr

The Savage is amazingly accurate for an old pump rifle.

I didn't make any noise but did draws and dryfire from the HPG kitbag w/ the G19 and some snapping in from the Kifaru gun bearer w/ my Marlin GG. 1 week from today we head for Glacier NP and I will load both w/ Buffalo Bore ammo.

I am now swilling shots of gin after getting my ass handed to me by a piece of ancient hickory that that I can't force out of an old double bit axe that I acquired in Salmon, Idaho. I have tried drilling it but it is full of old wedges and nails. Tomorrow I will head to Cold Creek for some hiking and shooting then attack the axe again.

I shot a dimocrap with the bird. I came over a hill on 2 lane Hwy29 just out of Llano. The su ker was in the right tire track poking along on his bicycle while I was doing 70 with the boat in back, which has a wider track than the Z71. I was meeting an opposing direction 18 wheeler and decided not to meet him head on.

Dimocrap had a 3 foot wide shoulder and looked back to see the trailer fender with his name on it. He accepted the Biblical truth that "Pride goeth before a fall" and hit the prideless highway shoulder as I went by and gestured to him half his IQ.
