I was hoping to stop in and see him when we go through that part of Montana come Sept.
Guess I can cancel that plan. Well he's not dead, he just don't post here anymore. If'n I find myself chasing old rust free Montana cars (for restorations) out his direction I will be getting in touch with him.
Something clever here.

FWIW
I didn't go along with the April Fool's joke last year, I told him it was a bad idea. So believe me or not, I care not one whit but it's not a joke. He's my BFF, so I'm hardly an impartial jurist, but he's a good guy. Humor doesn't translate into print very well. He's actually less an azzwhole in person than on here. I'm more of one in real life than on here . Yin/Yang lol. It matters not, but I don't come here much anymore either. Site jacks up my phone, and I'm too damned busy to sit at a desktop much. But even if I were bored sitting at a desk, the level of [bleep] on here is insane. I struggled hard with whether to actually ever post anything on here for a long time. I eventually let my guard down along with my hair and posted hunting pics of me and my family, and bought stuff on the classifieds, and shared pm's with guys all of which revealed a good bit of myself. Was it foolish? probably. Do I regret it? I dunno. I hate living life in a bubble, but anymore it's a tough call.
There are a LOT of good dudes on here, lots of experience and expertise that many are generous in sharing. Made some virtual friends, and met some in the flesh to boot. But the well is poisoned, and I don't have an antidote.

I enjoyed Dave's wit. I was going to PM him not long ago after once again reading one of his one liner's that caused me to belly laugh, and tell him that he's way more blunt than is in my nature, but to keep up the good work as I enjoy most of his posts. I decided not to, now I wish I would've.

I'd trade 1,000 FB2s for one Flave.

I regret not going to the twincities a couple years ago or so to meet him and have a beer when he said he would be in town. He is full of knowledge and probably something else...He would be dang fun to shoot with, Shrapnel too! I was in on that get together. Everyone had a very good time. Fluffy gave him a set of fuzzy wind chimes as a welcoming present. Deflave tried his best to stir up the Wild fans with the most godawful fugly Blackhawks sweatshirt he had on. I was laughing so hard my sides hurt as he ribbed a bunch of old vets sitting around the bar in a VFW about how good the 'Hawks were. It was a good time. I'm sorry to see him gone.

Sorta interesting there's 2 threads, one about 'flave and one started by 'flave here on the front page. Both have 15K views, whereas all the others are not even close. For all the haters, there sure seems to be a lot of lurkers!
