Actually, he's a jack of many trades, a really neat guy. Makes holsters (good ones!), etc. but just for himself, friends. He gave me the sling, but intends to sell some before he markets to companies. I'll ask him what he wants for them and get back to you. JOhn

Much better than anything on the market. The rough side of the hide and the twist of the leather allows you to lock the sling in position by pulling on the tongue on each side. The one with sling swivels adjusts and works just like the Montana sling except no metal except the swivels, and it locks tight at whatever length you adjust it to. He's keeping the price down until he markets it: $30 for the sling; $38 with the swivels. Email address:lazd bvunet.net. I like to sling it on the left side bottom up and barrel forward with left hand on the forearm. Just roll it up and over - the sling falls off the shoulder and the rifle rolls upright onto your right shoulder almost instantly; much quicker than pulling it off the shoulder and manipulating it into position. For antiques without swivel attachments it's wonderful and you only need one it moves on and off so easily. Wish I had the patent! John

Would there be any reaction from the salt in the leather in contact with the barrel? I know that US tanned leather oxidizes brass cartridge cases.

I bought 3 of these from the maker within the last 6 months. Really like 'em on old Savage lever guns. Got one on an old 1895 Winchester as well.
