Hell of a bear, Congrats, I shoot the 600 gr Woodleighs in my 505, were the 525's in your 505 Woodleigh bullets? These 525 grain bullets were Hornady dgx. I used 600 grain Woodleighs last fall on my moose.

Nice one.
The jury's still out on whether or not I really want to shoot a bear, but one like that would b a no-brainer.
Congrats on a great hunt.
What fresh Hell is this?

That is a really beautiful bear. What a great bear and hunt!
The oldest bear I've heard of was one I hunted and missed at 236 yards. I told a friend about him when I moved (15 years ago) and that sucker went and shot him in a berry patch with a 45-70. That monster bear was 27 years old and was the longest bear I have ever seen.

I'm wondering what he weighed late last Fall! I would love to have seen this bear the day before he denned up last fall. I'll bet he was at least 100lbs heavier.

I probably hit more elk with a pickup than you have with a rifle. I have yet to see anyone claim Leupold has never had to fix an optic. I know I have sent a few back. 2 MK 6s, a VX-6, and 3 VX-111s.
