Why does the program keep a post count, and display that count? The count doesn't mean squat, to anyone would be my guess!

What?

You mean it's not a race to the highest count? confused

I thought the one with the mostest postestses when the campfire finally runs out of wood and the flames die down would win a big prize from Rick.

Dang, there's nothing to live for now, I've been trying to boost my count by chirping in on some of the subfora I don't even have an interest in. Like 4 wd and trucks. Nope, that's not right I have one of those, sometimes I read stuff there and folks put good info up and I have to say thanks (hint to you folks who just lurk, it builds self confidence when someone else likes your ideas and notes it).

Well, I'm still going to keep trying to catch up with the leaders, and I'm still going to use a lot of words in case the real competition is word count. Rick might be running an algorithm in the background we don't know about. And maybe the winner gets a nice McSwirly! grin

Geno

PS I envy you guys with low counts, I don't know how you do it. Posts about super lubricant bore cleaners that boost velocity while lowering pressure just beg for replies.

PPS I live in very rural are and this is a bit of entertainment for me. No TV, only one or two radio stations, only so many magazines to read, so I may as well contribute, as ineffectual and inane some of my posts might be. Sometimes someone will even PM me and tell me they enjoyed what I posted.

Sorry for interrupting your thread, but I'm working on my post count. And I've been drinking.

lastround,

Do not interrupt threads, you will be BANNED.

STOP.

DO NOT POST

Geno

PS, if you're banned you will never win the special prize for the highest post count.

I 'm on here everyday reading, a lot of times more than once a day.
There is a lot of good info on here if you can wade through the B.S. and all the personal attacks and squabbles that muddy up the discussions, though I will admit sometimes those are entertaining.
I like the classifieds but have been staying out of them lately to keep from spending money!

I read the Fire every week day and some on weekends, I just don't post a lot, if I can't contribute something of quality, then I just read. I have learned a lot here at the Fire.

Thanks to all!

Same here, quality over quantity. I only post when I have something informative or enlightening to add.

Or when my opinion is better than everybody else's, which seems to be, like, most of the time....

I guess I'm one of them. I wonder how many guys are like me and read a lot of the posts but don't post very much?

Hundreds probably?

Just a bored observation on a Friday.

Low post count is ok, you do want a Low T count. grin

0.176 posts per day for me. That ought to be some sort of lurking record.

It's a proven fact that a low post count is an indicator of;

- Good looks
- Intelligence
- Talent
- Sexual prowess
- A Strong physique
- Advanced shooting ability
- Supreme hunting & fishing skills
- ......

I could go on as there are many more attributes, but I wouldn't want to bore any one as
'never boring" is one of the attributes.

Good day, I shall return in a month or 2.
