Some friends informed me he basically been run off by individuals leveraging details of his personal life. Basically an exposure blackmail type of "goodbye or else".
Which is pretty F'd up, I think. I hope your kidding, that's bullchit if true. Sounds a lot like karma to me.

Well, after past performances. a fellow has to be wary about a posting scenario like this. Accurate? Maybe, maybe not. I do not wish him any ill and hope that he is OK.
Humans do tend to pay rent on our behaviors and deeds, and sometimes the rent can be unanticipated and high. Then again, any blackmail deliberately designed to undermine a fellow's vocation and/or family is reprehensible - and such a perp needs to pay big rent on that act.

It's a 12 step program... that takes time. May take a day or 9 for him to work thru the list of apologizing to all those who's feelers he hurt And he's only added to the list for not buying us all gifts

It's not the first time it's happened either (on the fire). A good guy by the name of 4ster was run off by a lake superior north shore hippie that's still on the board here but he keeps changing his name so I don't even know what he calls himself anymore. He was "hundreddollarbill" and I think he was "Dpole", I don't know what he calls himself now but he didn't like 4ster's realistic opinions of wolves along with other things. So he files a complaint with 4ster's employer which happened to be US forestry. "Harassment", as if.... I mean seriously, 4ster was not the one doing the harassing.
Anyways, same sort of thing basically happened with Flave.
I couldn't possibly keep up with the reasons why individuals wanted him gone so I can't weigh in on the question of justifiable or not. But they done it. Dave, If you're not BSing here, this really sucks. 4ster is a good man. Really sucks to see people using this forum to strongarm others. Sadly, it happens every day here.
