Hello
Anyone have experience with Heym barrels. I am looking at a contoured short chambered 9.3X62 for a large ring 98 and haven't heard much about them. Thanks for any info.

Are you sure of the spelling? Heym is a German rifle maker, but I was unaware they made and sold barrels separately.

Heym barrels are very good. They are hammer forged barrels and the factory has a very large and high capacity machine. They have capacity excess to their needs in the plant and at one time, manufactured parts for BMW automobiles on their hammer machine. What they are doing now, I can't say. I've had several Heym barrels and all of them have been very good.

264magnum, I have a Heym barrel, chambered in 7x57, on a custom rifle. It is a lightweight profile barrel, 22 inches, and shoots and cleans beautifully. Heym barrels Regards, Wayne E.

I have a Heym rifle in 270 Win. I've owned 5 270s. None will shoot with the Heym and it is the lightest contour. I don't know what their barrel prices are, but the rifles are $$$.

Contact Double Gun Imports. ( www.heymusa.com) I am sure that he can source HEYM barrels for you. HEYM still sells barrels seperately and sells them to a number of top end European gun makers. You can download their barrel catalog on the German HEYM website as a pdf www.heym-waffenfabrik.de Go the section marked downloads.
