Interesting. I just last week got a Swede. A Mauser 98 sporter. Have not tried it out yet. Will be a cool(ha!! Very hot) Arizona summer at the range.

Most folks use slower powders in the Swede, especially with 140's and heavier. You may be joining the Seafire trend of using faster burning powder.. He gets good results with 4064 and such when others are touting slower burners. The Swede is pretty versatile, does well with a wide range of combo's. DF

Same here DF, I've used 7828SSC and RL26 with 140's so far. RL26 was pretty quick with them, close to 2900 if I remember right. 7828 SSC was about 2800. I wished I had some better numbers for you for 16, but I'll shoot a couple of them soon over my Magnetospeed and get them shortly.
I just wanted to try 16 and see if anything popped out. In other cartridges 16 has been about like H4350 so it doesn't seem too far off the mark.

I doubt RL-16 will shoot 140's as fast as Rl-26.
Will be interesting to see how close it gets.

Without a doubt. I'm just sorta messing with this Swede. It's not really in my line up for serious BG hunting, more of a fun whitetail rig or if a new hunter wants to carry it. These are some targets I was shooting when I took it out last with 26. So I could easily drop back to 26 and tune that load as well. 2900 with the 140 AB seems like a fairly serious combo.

Here are what I clocked for speeds I also checked my 53 charge for 26... I believe I'll be going back to that load.
