Indian grindstone.
I call 'em bowls...

There are huge valley oaks scattered along the river bottoms here that rain a corns in the fall.
The natives would grind them into a paste using a mortar and pestal.

Son texted me Tuesday said he had to excavate a prehistoric burial on a
Mining project. Very shallow 2-5 inches between a ranchroad and a cattle pen.

That would be awesome. I bet he loves his job, too.

I think he'd rather be cooking (Damn bad azz, good cook) or making beer.

yeah. I haven't looked at home for a couple weeks. Figured I'd hunt the new spot till I wear out my welcome. It's bigger and rougher than home. I put some miles on today for that one crude yella point.....

All the more reason to actually post pics to a site directly, not just links. Now those pics/links are held for ransom.

An unemployed Jester, is nobody's Fool.

the only real difference between a good tracker and a bad tracker, is observation. all the same data is present for both. The rest, is understanding what you're seeing.
