I'm in Iowa waiting on drier weather to finish planting soybeans. Colour me vert with envy.

Beautiful today Richard ! Not meant to last for the weekend though, unfortunately. Tomorrow; 17*C, but rain & wind by afternoon. Sunday & Monday; Lows of 4*C & highs of 8*C & continued rain !

I'm looking at the lake just now. I need to get the boat, and trailer to Canada customs, to pay duty tomorrow. Then, I hope on the lake.

Was out camping Fathers Day weekend. Also was the opener in the Alberta Rockies.
Unfortunately the streams were still in high runoff with a milky silt colouration due to them being glacial streams.
The guys I was camping with did better in the lake, although it too was milky, with several lakers taken. Was too windy on the lake to fly cast
which is all I do.
They are always milky but runoff is the worst.
No trout caught, had a couple of rises that caught me off guard. Great weekend regardless.

Living on the west coast there are not many days when I cannot fish the local lakes. Only been out once this year so far though, but we probably released about 30 rainbows. Nothing big, but a fun day with the brother-inlaw!

Fishing has been a little slow here on the east coast and I must admit other projects have kept me from it some. I have had a couple of productive days early in may for big small mouth bass. Other than that nothing to get terribly excited about. I kinda missed out on our best trout fishing and I think stripers have slowed until August, but I may try for some summer run Atlantic Salmon in another week or so.
