Getting to be plenty again around here. Saw Fed 525 Bulk Pack for 29.99 @ sportsman's. I bought a couple Fed Auto Match 325 packs a while back for $17.99 each. Sure like the trend.

Cheapest I have seen thus far are the 550 Federal HP bulk packs at Walmart for $22.95.

They told me that would be their regular price when they get more in.

Adjusted for inflation, thats getting down to pre Obama scare prices..

Getting more plentiful and a little cheaper too but seeing lots more solids in stock than hollow points though. Walmart's CCI Mini-Mags have been solids more often than not.

Before the shortage I was hum hawing when those went up to $20. If I see them at 22.95, I'll be picking up a couple boxes.

I bought two boxes of the Federal 550 36 grain copper washed HP ammo for $22.73, $24.32 with 7% sales tax, at the local Wal-Mart today. Even with sales tax added, that works out to $0.04422 per round, or $2.21 per 50, which I'm positive is the least expensive that I've seen since before the Newtown, Connecticut, school shooting on 12/14/12.

It is hard to believe that it has taken nearly five years for .22 LR ammo to get back onto retail shelves at affordable prices. To put it into perspective, 4 years and 8 months is longer than U.S. forces were involved in combat during WW2.
