In trying to over throw the government... in this case the election system!
Phil Trump Junior has been accused of treason for taking the meeting. Trying to get dirt on your opponent is not an attempt to tamper with the election or "election system." It may have been an attempt to damage Hilary Clinton, which is where the accuser's loyalties lie. Yeah, it's just more liberal lies and pandering propaganda. Hillery herself had a branch of her campaign known as the "War Room" where a team of her campaign people were assigned to dig up dirt on her opponents. First Bernie. Then Trump... Digging up dirt ain't a crime. Evidently inventing it isn't either... The police do it all the time to get convictions.

undermine the government ( Trump) as much as humanly possible...
it doesn't have to make sense..
the sad thing is that Trump keeps buying into it, by trying to clear his name
from all of these accusations, when he shouldn't be giving these people the time
of day....
and he needs to start using his executive powers on these people...

That means that He most likely did not know how deep the corruption was and how hard it would be to clean it up. Now I think that He is a fast learner but this is something that He was not expecting. I think that He thought that after He won even the Democrats would get behind Him for the most part and try to help America. The current Democrats care nothing about this country, just themselves and what power they can grab. Some, maybe most of the Republicans are showing more and more of this trend. We need to vote out whatever we can every primary, keep the power but change it, until Washington is changed back to working for America. miles

I think that He thought that after He won even the Democrats would get behind Him for the most part and try to help America. I'm sure he was under no such illusion. His campaign was pretty much built on a huge middle finger to the left.
