I have always thought my Sako 85 stainless synthetic barrel was a little light for 338 Federal at .625. So I would say PRM is spot on .580 is as small as I would want. What was the original contour on the Kimber 84M about .545? I have considered a rebore of one of my short action accumarks they are .720 and get a bit heavy at .277 bore and feel quite special to me at .308 bore.

Good luck and shoot straight all.

I have a take-off barrel in .338 Fed that I got to swap out the 7-08 barrel on my Montana, but it shoots so good as is that I keep getting cold feet.
