Yes I saw a photo of the drivers side door and it appears to be intact. Plus there isn't much room for error with an officer sitting in the driver's seat. The writer could have easily said the officer shot thru an open window - but they didn't. Obviously its too early to judge the incident but the "community" is on edge just passing the year anniversary for Jamar Clark.

Whatever the story is, the city better get out in front of it. Good or bad, the news won't get better with age. If it's a mistake, they need to own up to it fast.

The Minneapolis police officer who shot and killed a 40-year-old woman in the alley behind her home Saturday night has been identified, while state investigators confirmed that no weapons were found at the scene.

A source confirmed that Officer Mohamed Noor was the shooter. Attorney Tom Plunkett is representing the officer, but declined to identify him.

According to a city newsletter, Noor joined the department in March 2015 as the first Somali police officer to patrol the 5th Precinct in southwest Minneapolis.

I had to Google her, and it seems she is an outstanding mayor -- even receiving "special recognition" in April of 2017.

Yeah, he shot from INSIDE the vehicle and no weapon on the victim? GMAFB.

If my "pardner" fired from INSIDE the patrol unit PAST me into the person i was speaking to he or she better have had a dang good reason otherwise there would be no need for IA or Special Investigators to get involved...i'd have kilt 'em me self.

Otherwise, the shooting officer needs to be fired at a minimum, prosecuted for wrongful death and/or civilly sued unless there is a huge, compelling reason that has not yet been reported.

Reports here in Oz are that the officer fired "multiple times". If true, that doesn't sound like ND.

No mention here via Mpls. media about numbers of shots fired. Course the local media will protect the innocent until nearly proven guilty.
