Low grain prices all over. Soybeans too.

What they are lacking in price for corn down here, they are pretty much making up with a great harvest.

The soybean market jumps around quite a bit. Hell they're actually up now right?

Winter wheat is up, spring wheat took a big jump, and now they are saying $5 corn is a possibility. Key word there....possibility...

It would be a whole lot simpler if the 'technical' trading went away....

Price at our local elevator for Nov corn is 3.52, October soybeans 9.48. That's not bad but if the crop is good, which it looks to be, the prices will go down. During the drought of 2012, corn got up to 8.50 or so. Mine yielded 21 bushel to the acre. Two years later with good rain I made 173 and the price was about 3.00. That's the way it goes. Supply and demand.

Weather markets can make or break you.

We've been sitting on wheat from 2014. Had a huge rain event right before harvest and it bleached out the ripe grain.

At the time it was worth $3? Sent in a couple samples last week and will see what they say but hopefully now it's doubled in price.

Grain markets are almost as bad as the damn cattle market....grin
