Reloading will give you more options as I said. But like I also said my newest Lyman only goes to 55 223. I am sure you can find something if you look around though. It just happened to be sitting next to my chair.

Reloading will let you use 22 caliber bullets, that may not typially be on shelf for 223 loaded ammo.

So I suggest you get better at it. LOL

You started this thread. What answer did you want? It makes it easier if we know.

I’m looking at getting into reloading too, and you seem like the go to guy for advice around here. Does reloading make faster ammo that kills deer better? I’ve heard Barnes just pencil through, but Ballistic Tips blow up on the skin, is this true?

What is a 223 AI, and is it better at killing deer than a regular 223?

Are you asking the rhetorical question, "Is the .223 AI enough gun?"

He should ask his wife if another 5% would make a difference. When working with small cartidge, it might not get you over the hump.

Sounds like Lee 24 is back on the forum.

Good question, it's all about the caliber. My personal favorite caliber is .30-06.

rgrx1276,

Lee24 could spell far better than Zerk, but perhaps he took an anti-spelling class in order to sneak back onto the Campfire.

Yep, the NULA is well-known as having the quiet-est safety on the market, that's why I bought one.

No doubt, but I can overlook that for a quiet safety.
