Extolling the virtues of a 45-70 you have never used and while running down .223's you have never used. That's the very definition of a blowhard.

Judging from the color of those guns, some parent had not taught their child guns are not toys. 223 is great caliber for kids. I think most around here would probably go 243 fir kids though, but I am sure some do 223.

I am.not saying 45-70 is be all gun. Just saying they are popular for deer and bear. I know a few people with them.

Never said a 223 would not kill a deer. But I know enough about ballistics, to say it is not my choice, or most able bodied adults.

There are lots of guns I have not shot, that I would extol the virtues of for deer.
