Has anybody seen hornady published data with Varget and 4350 with 75 grain eldms Where are they at with it, I don't want to buy another manual just for this.
Hornady data is 33.4 gr max for Varget with 75 gr ELDM. It doesn't list H4350.

In my eight twist 22-250, IMR 4451 has been the best powder I've tried. Velocity is around 3350 with Sierra 80's and the same with Berger or Hornady (28 inch barrel). GD

Go to Hodgdons website and see if they list that bullet in their load data.

Were these 8" 22-250s a special buy somewhere in the US?
I don't see them listed.

I don't see them listed. Whitaker’s did a special run and then tikka made a few. If you look on gunbroker you can still find tikkas.

But that was before Tikka started enforcing MAP and Whitaker’s prices were very good. That shop may have sailed tho... Good luck buying or building.
I've seen more well-shot game lost with TSXs than any other premium bullet.

Thanks for the replies and PMs, some very helpful people here. I don't think the 8 twist 22/250's are entirely exclusive to Whittakers, they are available off the shelf in Australia and NZ, I would imagine the Canadian distributor would be able to get them.

Which specific model or models of Tikka .22-250 come in the 1:8 twist? I'm seeing their Lite SS on some of the on-line dealer sites but I can't find that spec on the Tikka website.
Ans speaking of, who else makes a 1:8 .22-250? IIRC Ruger made a special run of Predators or maybe standard RAR's for Whittaker but those are sold out.
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!
