What I don't get, is the guys who swear by the 223, but have bigger guns. Should sell them.

I have and hunt with plently...a .243

No. Just the ones that don't know what the hell they're talking about. I asked about two different cartridges. You have literally ZERO hunting experience and you're an expert. I'm more than willing to listen to hunters/shooters who know what they're talking about. You don't. So STFU.

I have shot deer with quite a few different calibers/cartriges. I don't have a Kimber Montana. They're very light, shoot great, and the .223 Rem is a great round.

why sell my nice 308 montana or my 257 bob montana I enjoy those cartridges as well. Why hunt with a pistol in 10mm or 44 magnum or 357 magnum? Why hunt with an AR15 in 5.56 or a 6.8 or God forbid 300BO? Why buy 80 cent power point 308 cartridges and kill chit or load 60 cent solid copper 22 bullets. Why does a bear chit in the woods? It's what we do. You on the other hand are either a sock-puppet here to stir the pot, someone who just started hunting/shooting but thinks they know it all, or just an idiot. The safety making a noise thing, yes I considered that many years ago, but grew out of it, in fact it is entirely possible to take off a kimber safety without making a sound if one has at least the dexterity of an orangutan and an IQ above room temperature.

I must disagree. A deep subject would be one that is difficult to comprehend. One that requires participants to at minimum have basic knowledge of the subject along with the ability to convey their ideas in a common language used by others who qualify to participate.

Don't mean to insert a Zerk, so my apologies if others should consider it inappropriate.

The big question is how do they shoot out to your 25 yard bait pile?

Getting interesting. The big question was .223 or .22-250. Is it, and if so when does it become appropriate for the OP to insert a Zerk? Does it become a Zerkapalooza once the OP does so?

For those who insist on protocol, this thread may be a decisive moment in defining the campfire of the future.

100% wrong Battue. You're using zerkular logic.

Zerk is having his fun and knows the game. However, he is not good enough at it to fool many. Rookie at best. Sock puppet at worst.
