Guys, I need whip this photo thing. In NW Ontario tonight, an 'imported", Iowa chop, that is a chop cut thick, mashed turnip, and potato, gravy, with a side of, "imported" from Iowa, tomato slices.

The wife is planning on an apple pie, she bought lard today for the crust. Stay tuned.

On my way to post, I Sam's stew, wow.

Bean salad and meatloaf. Nobody beats my meat........loaf.

Also ran about 15#'s of tuna through the smoker. Damn, tuna gets salty quick. Super tasty, but salty. Next batch I'll cut salt and time in the brine.

It'll make for a killer smoked fish dip.

A wee bit of my Tabasco pepper sauce, and a number of hours of simmering. Meat was tender, veggies still with a bit of firmness, the liquid nicely flavored and thickened.

My biggest issue with Five Guys is they don't serve beer. Good fries and appreciate the peanuts though.

I do like a Five Guys burger from time to time.

Straight from the garden.

Rosa Bianca eggplant, sliced and grilled with mozzarella cheese, served on a bun with grilled bell peppers and fresh tomatoes, and corn on the cob.

Dessert was plum pie, I think it tastes similar to what a cherry & rhubarb pie might. Actually it was 2 plum pies, one with sweeter plums and one with more flavorful plums but in a side by side test I can't tell the difference.

Those look like warmer days, then today Paul. I just started a wood fire.
Great looking food by the way.
