This^^^^^

I carry one at all times. T shirt pocket or even clipped between the bottom buttons of a polo shirt. Light, handy, and bright enough. I even carry it clipped to the waistband of my boxers when I'm up in the middle of the night.

And I'm a headlamp addict too. Not unusual for me to have one on my head all day long. great for poking around in dark pole shed corners and basements.

Fenix PD 35 is my every day carry light. I buy all my flashlights and batteries at BatteryJunction.com. Best prices & free shipping.
I also have several of their house brand OLights that are rechargeable on a USB port. Exceptional flashlights at a very reasonable price.

Yes they do! Just as good as my Fenix and cheaper too.

I know there are a lot of good lights in the market. But some seem to be overpriced when comparing them. I am talking about top tier ones. Surefire, seems to be overpriced to me in comparison to Streamlight and others.

Nitecore TM03 looks impressive, but requires a special dedicated version of 18650 rechargeable battery
to get the most out of it.

After some research I put Olight warrior lights on my ARs.

Also had great luck with a Nitecore Defender Infinity for an everyday carry.

Wow. Never knew there is this much to know about different types of batteries.

Not needed knowledge for most, but interesting for some.

Modern batteries are incredible and getting more so all the time. I have one of these little jump starters that will crank any car over easily and is supposed to start a diesel pickup, too. That's in addition to recharging phones, computers, and other devices...like tactical flashlights.

Anybody got an opinion?

Some of the AAA lights with 3 batteries are as bright or brighter than those with 2 AA's. 3 in series put out 4.5V compared to 2 AA's with 3V. 3 AAA's will have about 3/4 the mah's as 2 AA's so they don't last quite as long but they're in a smaller package so it's easier to carry a spare light in your pocket.
They also can be found quite cheap. I have several that I got from Amazon for $5. They're heavy aluminum, waterproof, zoom lens, and very bright. They'll throw light close to 100 yds although it's getting pretty dim out there. I can see it on tree trunks, though, and it'll probably light up a bear's eyes enough to tell you to not get any closer.

A stacked AAA light in your pocket is handy as hell. But it ain't no Tactical light.
