Unless I change my mind, I'll have it on hand for porcine perforating in Texas this coming March.

You appear to be suffering from projectile envy.

Well, this is terrible news. and rather untimely. I guess i should forget putting an M-8 on the '38 model 70 i just lucked into. Might as well just take the whole project to the scrap yard. Darn the luck

OK, after visiting this thread numerous times, I took my wife .30-06 out to see if it really was obsolete. I was able to readily buy new brass for it, old school Nosler Partitions, and some H4831. I put them all together, and it went "bang!" So Im guessing its not really obsolete...

I`m sure he was playing with you...as I would think many Americans would show up with a .338WM minimum..and not be able to shoot it accurately,...cause the 06 is much to small for moose, as anyone who knows anything, knows.

Already have a ZG47 in 06 but when I found an unfired M700 stainless pillar bedded in a McMillan with Jewell and Sunny hill for less than a standard SPS I couldn't resist. Mounted a Zeiss 3-9x42 worked up a 180gr Nosler AB with RL17 (2,800fps) and hunted moose. Shot 2 calves at 260yards off my pack and a spike at 275yds off sticks. 1 shot each - dead.
