Top 3 (*and arguably the Top 1) greatest comedy of all time. Cleavon Little and Gene Wilder were never better. There will never be another Mel Brooks and his movies, Blazing Saddles in particular, could never be reproduced today.
It's a horrible western though. I'll agree with that.
Bud damn, if you can't LOVE Blazing Saddles then there's something wrong with you.
Casting was horrible Screenplay worse Production sucked Cinematography? Huh? is that what it's called Score/music scenes could have been written by a tone deaf fourth grader
and who in hell directed that thing? I hope he never made any other movies.

(*as a total aside, Madeline Kahn truly had an amazing voice. She did opera and was professionally trained and could run with the best. She turned to comedy but truly had the gift.)

If "The Ballad of Rock Ridge" isn't at least #3 on your playlist you have NO appreciation for great music. "I'm Too Tired"...well...maybe not so good as music, but the lyrics are pure poetry...from below and above.

What an embarrassing disclosure. Blazing Saddles was,and is,one of the funniest movies ever made. "They said you was hung... They was right." You could never get away with the stuff Mel Brooks did back then, in these days. That's why it's so funny. "Where da white women at?"
