Currious. I have not observed a LBC W, X, or Y. Has anyone actually seen one? Any pics if you do?

I have a Stevens 940E single shot with a "V".

Don't think anybody has seen them. We believe they stopped that practice with V.

Chico: "Vyaduck? Vy not a chicken?"
Groucho: "Well, if you had to cross the water on a chicken you'd know viaduct."

I have in my data the W,X & Y LBC's reported on a few 99's. The LBC's were important when we were trying to correlate serial numbers to production years. Given that the W (`69), X (`70) and Y (`71) overlapped the new A Series serial numbering, which we could date to the month, recording the LBC was no longer needed so I stopped asking for them.
