Have always had a weakness for Classic Stainless Featherweights... Awesome rifles man!!!! I'm not going to show a pic of my new classic stainless 7WSM, it is plane jane compared to those beauties... It looks like it shoots pretty good though.. Bobin warned me not to get a late classic, but I didn't listen like a good boy... I know why he used to say some of them really needed some work. This one is a great rifle now, after a little fine tuning: 1. Glass bed the action. 2. Freefloated the barrel. 3. Got the scope mounts sorted out. Scope is in line with the axis of the barrel now!!!!! 4. Radiused and polished the bottom of the follower. Also had to relieve a little of the side of the follower to make the loading flawless. It hung up when I first got it. Now she works like a damn champ. 5. Replaced the hard as hell recoil pad and put a pre-fit decelerator on it.. 6. Trigger was HORRENDOUS when I first got it. Stoned, polished, and lighter spring, now it's at 2 7/8 pounds. 7. Replaced the FUNKY fugly phillips head action screws with allen head screws. Damn, what was Winchester thinking????? The guys at my club said, "if it doesn't shoot good, how much will you want for it"... My buddy spotted for me, after getting the scope dialed in, and the first 5 shots went into less than an inch and I said this fu cker isn't for sale.... . According to him, the last 3 shots went into the same hole... Good enough for me..
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

My 21 year old's first rifle. He's not taken a deer yet since he's been figuring out what to do for a living (Now a HVAC Technician) I was going to buy this for myself since it''s my birth year (1960) but I let him have first whack at it. It is in 30-06 caliber. All photos at this link--> https://sportsdad60.smugmug.com/Winchester-Model-70-1960-30-06/n-8KFn9X/

Guys, these just showed up at the shop... which means they are mine until I sell them They came out of a NJ estate and two of them appear unfired. They are going to command a collector-grade premium, but I know many of you collect rifles of this quality. If you are interested, shoot me a PM. 1955 .375 H&H Standard Rifle 1960 .220 Swift Varmint Rifle 1958 .220 Swift Standard Rifle

red pad in storage , 94 new haven classic sporter ot6 , 0 collector value , done too much chit to it, barnes 168 vortex loads .75"@ 100yds. thing aint gonna see much time in the woods this yr, gonna use my 164 dollar accurate as fugg pawnshop 1964 marlin glenfeild 36g SC .30-30 insted. cheek peice was sanded off in the summer of 94, cant stand em, outline on checkering opened up also during that time. put in some stainless action screws and sanded down the sharp edges on the pistol grip cap. Tru oil finish. Barrel has been floated, fixed aluminum post pillar bedded , recoil lug and sides and rear of action glass bedded. 1st inch of barrel glass bedded . Sears stoned and 3/4ths of one coil on trigger spring cut 18 0z bolt slam and bounce test good to go. Low DD bases and rings . And a frigging .012 shim( that annoys the chit outta me cause i know its their ) under my rear scope base thanks to leupold cutting back on total moa in their new vx3i 3.5-10x 40. Maybe someday if one of the daughters gets me a grandson i can school him up and pass a bunch of guns down.

Many of you have already seen this one, but it's a good rifle: 1955 H&H action 338WM 4 round mag box capacity 1 in the pipe (5 rounds available). Properly glass bedded in a Brown PoundR Trigger adjusted to 2.5 pounds red pachmayr decelerator Gretan 24" stainless barrel Midnight blue cerakote 7 pounds bare. 8 pounds with scope She's a shooter too: I've had a lot of fun with this ol girl in all kinds of weather:

Running 210 Swift’s this fall. Mine has been in the field a bunch with different stocks but I kinda like this one the most of any of them.

[/URL] Wow you totally missed the bullseye! Just kidding, nice group! The first time my youngest son (then age 16) shot my Springfield Trapdoor he grouped his first 3 shots within 1/2" MOA at 100 yards. He said sucked because they were not bullseyes. LOL!

Zeiss Conquest on top? Bob In this picture, it's wearing the cheaper Terra. I took the Swarovski off due to tracking problems. It's wearing a Zeiss conquest 3.5-10x44 now (not pictured)... I really like the glass on this one. My only complaint is the elevation turret is bass ackwards....
