I had a 56, I thought the safety kinda cheap. The magazine loose, rattled a lot. It was a 264 Win mag, plenty accurate. A Sako is a better rifle in my opinion.

I have a Cooper custom classic 52 lefty in .30-06 with several upgrades. It's gorgeous, accurate, very well made and completely reliable. Kinda heavy, though.

i have a Cooper Classic 54 in 260. LOVE the accuracy, handling, trigger, cartridge and DM. less enthused about short length of DM and safety.
for 1500 I'd advise you jump on it, then use lapua brass, H414, and 120 gr Sierra ProHunters

I let it sit for several weeks after first seeing it knowing (assuming) it being a 260 would be a tough sell for a pawn shop. Additionally, usually, not always, they usually give about 33 cents on the dollar for most things. Their asking price has been $2000. After about a month, I offered them $1500. They politely said "no thank you" and that they were probably pulling it from their shelves and putting it on gunbroker this week.

Oh, someone above was correct, it has the removable magazine and not the hinged floor plate.
