Hoping someone has some RL 17 data. Plan to start with Hunter & H 4831sc. If you have a 150 gr bullet pet load share that too as I have some 150 gr. Partitions on the shelf as well.

I've only tried IMR7828SSC and IMR4350 with 140 grain Partitions in mine. I'm interested in trying RL26 with the 140s, cause it's my powder for 160 grain Accubonds.

Good to know on the 160's. I have some Nosler factory ammo with the 160 accubond that shoots light out. Still need to chrono it to see what kind of velocity I'm getting. I have so many 140 & 150 bullets from when my daughter ran a 7mm-08 I plan to try these first.

C ROY,

I have a pdf file that has load data that Lane Pearce published that includes loads from 140 to 160 grain bullets and his results. If you would like a copy PM me your email address.

When I had my 7 SAUM. It loved H4350 under a 140 Accubomb. Sub MOA but be forwarned - it make a mess out of a deer at close range.

I’m intrigued by the 7 SAUM and potential for all around big game rifle. So I picked up some of the Remington factory 150 grain coreloct and 160 grain coreloct Ultra ammo. When I find or build a 7SAUM we’ll see how they do.

I agree and one of the main reasons I picked this one up. I was playing with ballistic calculators for giggles today and the 168 gr. LR Accubond on paper appears to have the oomph to kill waaay out there. Interesting round in a compact package for sure. Last fall I shot a couple hogs and one dandy whitetail buck with 120 BT's from this rifle. I plan to use the Remington Premier 140 Ultra Cor-lokts this fall on deer and hogs, while I do some load development.

IIRC, the 284 case water capacity is 66 grains and the 7 SAUM's is ~ 73 grains. In my 284 with a 23" tube I get a smooth 3100 fps with a 140 and a max 52.5 grains of R 17. I would think you could start there or a grain higher, and work up if there is room at a .5 grain at a time.

I presume you'd be safe starting at my max and working up.
