The article states that the man with the "price tag" on his sweater (watch fob??) is Billy the Kid. Doesn't look like him to me, considering the only facial picture of Billy the Kid shows him having different shaped lips, nose, and eyebrows, than the alleged BtK in the composite. Also the "BtK" in the composite appears to be a good deal older than BtK who would have been about 19 if it were actually he in the picture. By the time BtK was 20 years old, Garrett -- and other lawmen -- were already hunting for him.
Who in the composite is supposed to be Pat Garrett??
Just my observation.

If the photo in story is original, and can get authenticated, it may be worth pretty good money.
But, getting the historians that authenticate that stuff to agree and sign on the dotted line that it contains both images of Pat Garrett & BTK will be a task indeed.
I doubt that will happen.

I'm very skeptical too. If I recall correctly, the experts aren't even sure that it's Billy the Kid in the one famous photo that does exist. The guy in the famous photo doesn't much resemble the one in the composite photo shown above. I'm not seeing much that convinces me there's anything to it.

I doubt that will happen. According to the article in the Albuquerque Journal, a facial recognition expert ID'd Billy and someone else (I don't remember the detail) ID'd Garrett by another route.
