FG,
I visited the daughter in Sparks recently......
Liquid refreshment is nicely priced there, as you know.
Funny, I always have a lot more weight to haul on the return trip.......

I agree, when Photobucket screwed us it changed the rules...sure there are other providers, but the entire photo platform on the Fire is ridiculous,,,most all forums allow you to download from your hard drive. I understand the Fire's policy, and the additional issues down load can cost/maintain...so I'm not complaining.

My issue is 3 fold:
1) It's a PITA to utilize an image provider to begin with, but like PB when they folded on us it left huge holes in the threads content.
2) Building your own album here is fine, but there is no privacy if you choose to send a Merry Christmas family picture to 1 or 2 members...maybe a hot picture of my wife at the beach, or my gun collection someone feels like coming to get shot...trying to steal it.
3) Once the pictures have been placed on the forum, they now OWN them...you can't take them back. You can't choose to leave the bosom of the Fire, and take your pictures with you...including the one of the wife at the beach.

I post pictures on many forums, but have control of their existence and term of use(within reason). Deciding that anyone who chooses not to post their face along side with a valid picture ID, is a sock puppet that needs to hand in his "mancard"...is futile attempt at alienating a member with lame domination tactics. If the format changes here, I'll readily post pictures of my face and taint in the same frame.

For sale items or misc. gun/bow pictures it makes sense, for anything long term it's a risk from my point of view. Just because someone chooses to protect their privacy, and practice common sense doesn't make them a sockpuppet....it's a technical issue, not a matter of with holding information or hiding your identity.

Cool!
You just opened the door of the cage, grabbed that cat by his hind legs and hung him upside down so everybody could take a photo.

I'm impressed....... grin
