Thanks. Zeiss' actual #4 is much more substantial than the #6 and one of my favorite reticles. Unfortunately, they discontinued it and no longer even retro-fit it. I was hoping you may have gotten it swapped before Zeiss made such a questionable choice.
The #6 is still an extremely useful design, nonetheless, and is a hybrid of sorts. It certainly offers quick target acquisition along with good visibility in poor lighting. I've used it in a number of scopes along with the illuminated #60 version and like them a lot.
Here's an image of the #6 I took just now -- a minute or two after sundown and in very substantial cloud cover. Even against the darker portions of the foliage, it shows well.(Pardon the poor phone quality photo)
