This is the 8 shot 5" model, S&W only made that for I think three or four years around 2005-2008 then they went to a 3" barrel. This is a great deal for a very nice gun in the factory box. Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!

Great for all kinds of uses. I have one of the old stainless six-shots that someone slicked up so its action feels like butter. It would be about the last pistol I would ever let go!
