Haven't put much together in a while except for AR's so it was time for another bolt gun. Original plan was to send this action to the batcave and have him install a douglas but when I called him he said he wasn't barreling rifles anymore. So plan B was a remage. This was my first time using one of the criterion remage barrels w/nut. It was no big deal to put together and took all of about 10 minutes. It weighs 9# 8oz as it sits right now, after season ends I'm planning on swapping the badger steel rail and seekins rings for a set of talley's and should end up under 9# all up. I'll end up cutting it back to 20 or 21" and have it threaded for suppressor but James had this 24"er in stock and I have quite a while before the suppressor is in my hands.

Rem 700 SS action
McMillan Gamescout
criterion remage 6.5creedmoor Heavy sporter contour at 24" 1-8twist.
PTG stealth bottom metal.
badger steel rail, seekins rings.
Vortex HSLR 4-16x

I have lapua brass, 8# of h4350, and 147 eld's to work up, but with deer season starting the day after tomorrow I grabbed a couple boxes of federal fusions. It shot the fusion into 1/2" today so that will work for now. Pretty happy with how this one turned out.

Looks real good. Thought about the Remage but went standard lug on last one. Pretty easy to spin on?

Very easy to install and headspace. Took longer to remove and reinstall the ejector from the bolt than to set up the barrel.

I ditched the karstens cheekpiece that was on that stock when I bought it. Buddy gave me a partial box of factory federal 130gr bergers to see how they would shoot. I only shot one 3 shot group with them just to see if the rifle liked them. I was going to shoot another one but decided to save the last couple to hunt with. Anyway, I'd say these Criterion barrels sure have some potential.

I've liked that stock for a few year now but never been able to handle one... what do you think??? Might do one in edge fill and try to loose some weight on my Montana 1999 in 264 win mag...

I have two Remage barrels, one in .260 and one in Creed. They are fantastic shooters. You will enjoy that combo. Great-looking firearm.
