How much excitement is involved in releasing one? I don't know anything about trapping, just curious how one gets a pissed off cat out of trap?

Not really much excitement. Put a catch pole on them and squeeze them down. Once they pass out take the trap off and then take pole off and they catch their breath in a minute or so and take off

Pretty kitty. Our's don't often have spots on their flanks like that one.

They say everything happens for a reason.
For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

Thanks for the pics.
Big anti trapping letter to the editor in the Minneapolis paper this morning. Glad to see you are having some success. Brother is trapping coyotes with good results.

What’s a decent cat worth this year? I passed up an easy shot on a middling sized one I called in yesterday afternoon for fear of blowing him up. Had the 17Rem in the truck but left it since the odds were decent to run into pigs if not a cat or coyote.

I'm not sure what they are going for where you are. Around here right now they are around $500 but I'm guessing the closer we get to March they will start to top out around $750
